Watch out for indications of mold. If the thing is any inexperienced mold, white fuzzy mold, or dim black spots (mildew) on the mushroom, will not try to eat it. Don’t be concerned if you see blue staining—That is widespread in Psilocybe mushrooms and an indicator the mushrooms have psilocybin.  It may be tricky to choose a strain to expand
